Biography

Sydney Desman is a dedicated and results-driven civil litigator who represents victims of first and third-party insurance bad faith, catastrophic personal injury, products liability, wrongful death and survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault and misconduct. From 2024 through 2026, Sydney has consistently been recognized by Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star”.

Prior to joining Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack in January 2022, Sydney worked as an associate attorney a plaintiff-side law firm where she specialized in personal injury matters.

Sydney earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and graduated early cum laude. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida International University College of Law, where she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Advanced Legal Analysis and an excellence in civic engagement medallion of distinction award. During law school, Sydney served as a Certified Legal Intern with the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, gaining hands-on courtroom and trial experience.
