Biography
Chris Kanne joined Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack in 2013, where he represents clients in complex civil litigation, including business litigation, product liability litigation, insurance coverage disputes, and personal injury matters. Mr. Kanne has served as trial counsel in multiple high-stakes jury and bench trials in state and federal courts throughout the country and won several seven figure verdicts and settlements.
Super Lawyers has consistently recognized Mr. Kanne as a “Rising Star” for personal injury, business litigation, and products liability cases, a distinction he’s earned for each of the past five consecutive years. He’s also been named by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the top 40 trial lawyers in the country under the age of 40.
Mr. Kanne’s passion is in the courtroom, in front of a jury, but he also has extensive experience in the presentation of insurance claims, assisting policyholders navigate intricacies in catastrophic loss cases and bad faith litigation. These actions involve first and third-party claims for fire and water damage, product defects, construction defects, and bad faith claims arising from such disputes.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Business Law from Loyola Marymount University and his Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School. He is admitted to practice before all the courts of the State of California as well as the United States District Court, Central District.
He is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys of California, Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, American Association for Justice, Federal Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
