Biography
Joe Lack earned his J.D. in 2005 from New England Law, Boston. In 2003, he interned for a US Senator in Washington DC, assisting on the committees of Judiciary, Intelligence and Foreign Relations. He interned the following year at Girardi|Keese, handling a variety of product liability and personal injury cases.
Joe received his B.A. in Business Administration/ International Relations from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles in 2002, during which he lived abroad in Beijing studying Mandarin, cultural studies, and business law. Years later, he lived in Munich studying German.
Since joining Engstrom, Lipscomb & Lack in 2007, Joe has worked on pharmaceutical, contracts, qui/tam, class actions, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, wills/estates/trusts, and wildfires. He has dedicated the majority of his practice to wildfire victims, and has recovered over $65 million for his clients over the last ten years alone. Most notable fire cases include Witch Creek/ Guejito/ Rice (San Diego, 2007), Sayre (LA, 2008), Jesusita (Santa Barbara, 2009) and Bernardo (San Diego, 2014).
Joe is admitted to practice law in the state of California and before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
